India Post is expected to release the much-anticipated India Post GDS Merit List 2024 very soon. Once available, the first merit list can be accessed on the official website of India Post at indiapostgdsonline.gov.in. Along with the merit list, the organization will also publish the cut-off marks and other essential details for the recruitment process.

Merit List Preparation

The merit list will be meticulously prepared based on the marks obtained or the conversion of Grades/Points to marks in the Secondary School Examination of the 10th standard from recognized boards. These scores will be aggregated into a percentage, accurate to four decimal places.

Next Steps for Shortlisted Candidates

Candidates who are shortlisted in the merit list will be required to submit an undertaking in the format provided in Annexure-IX. This undertaking acknowledges their liability in case of furnishing any fake or incorrect information in their application.

Furthermore, shortlisted candidates must appear for physical verification of their documents. The dates and details for this verification process will be communicated to the candidates through SMS on their registered mobile numbers.

About the Recruitment Drive

This recruitment drive aims to fill 44,228 Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) positions across 23 postal circles nationwide. The registration process for these posts was conducted from July 15 to August 5, 2024. A correction window was available for applicants from August 6 to August 8, 2024, allowing candidates to make any necessary changes to their applications.
