India Post GDS Result 2024: India Post has announced the release of the first merit list for the Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) recruitment 2024. Candidates who participated in the recruitment process can now check the circle-wise and category-wise merit list on the official websites: indiapostgdsonline.gov.in, indiapostgdsonline.gov.in, and indiapostgdsonline.cept.gov.in.

The merit list has been published for all postal circles, including Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Delhi, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and West Bengal. However, due to the ongoing Model Code of Conduct restrictions for state assembly elections in Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir, the results for these states will be delayed until after the elections are concluded.

To check the India Post GDS Recruitment 2024 merit list, follow these steps:
Step 1: Visit the official website at indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.
Step 2: Look for the ‘India Post GDS Merit List 2024’ link on the homepage.
Step 3: Enter your credentials and click the submit button.
Step 4: The GDS merit list will appear on your screen.
Step 5: Download and save the list.
Step 6: Print it for future reference.

India Post GDS Recruitment 2024: Document verification round

Candidates who find their names on the merit list must appear for document verification. This is a critical phase where the academic qualifications and personal details of the candidates are thoroughly reviewed. Any candidate found to have provided false or incorrect information will be disqualified from the recruitment process.
According to the result PDF available on the official website, shortlisted candidates must report to the assigned verification venue on or before September 3.

  • Original Class 10th Mark Sheet: Proof of eligibility for GDS Recruitment 2024.
  • Original Community/Caste Certificate: Required for candidates in reserved categories.
  • Original PWD Certificate: Applicable for candidates with disabilities.
  • Original Transgender Certificate: For candidates identifying as transgender.
  • Original Date of Birth Proof: Such as the Class 10th mark sheet, voter ID card, and Aadhaar card.

Candidates are advised to ensure they have all the required documents in original for the verification process to avoid any issues.

India Post GDS Recruitment 2024: Vacancy overview

This recruitment aims to fill 44,228 GDS posts across the country. Candidates are selected based on their Class 10th marks, and there is no requirement to appear for any interview or written examination.
